G.G. Dedalos

G. G. Dedalos is an SME developing novel ideas for specialised problems. It developed an Airborne Search and Rescue Platform (ASARP). This is fundamentally a UAV able of steady low speed flights in extreme weather conditions. It was developed specifically for marine search and rescue operations. As a sea plane it can take off from sea, land or from railings for push assisted take off. GGD has expertise in the areas of software-hardware interfacing, signal conditioning and processing for specialised applications in the field of dynamics, impact dynamics and energy absorption, smart materials including piezoelectric, electrorheologic and electroactive materials and aeroelasticity, where a number of novel ideas have been developed and applied on the ASARP UAV developed and constructed specifically for marine search and rescue operations.
